Desert Mavericks.......Sand Box

today at gila bend 1/2 mile racing

 

Any shop recommendations? Preferably in west Phoenix. I want to get my 4v closed chamber Cleveland heads inspected and cleaned up.

It's attached to the Napa Auto Parts building. Joe did my engine and is very good and reasonable. He can be a little slow so you just have to keep on him sometimes.

Anyone up for Mavericks at the Kmart and 67th Ave show this Saturday night? I'm planning to go around 5:00 for a few hours.

 

I would but I have a quarterly poker tournament that day. Playing for a trip to Vegas and a 1k WPT seat.

 

I went by there last Saturday at noon and there was a guy setting up! I don't know if I can make it, I'm volunteering at a dog agility meet and I don't know what time it ends. I'll swing by if I have an opportunity.

 

I drove by there last Saturday also at about 4pm and there were already a bunch of cars there!

 

Hey guys saw a real nice Ghia Mustang at the Pick a Part on Extension in Mesa. I took the console and e brake handle but left the floor shifter and buckets. They wanted 44$ each for the seats, no rips or tears that I could see. Just a few busted stitched and should clean up real nice. The car is sitting off the ground but its in a low spot in the yard so water has gathered, probably 6-10" making it difficult to get parts.

My car is ready, just dirty, lol. I drive it more often nowdays.
