earlier this week I had to replace the steering column the shop did a good job. everything worked fine when I pick the car up I drove it straight home and parked it in the garage. went to crank the car and none of the electrics are working that are on the 2 aftermarket fuse panels now the fuel pump voltage gauge and the fan. The odd thing is all these things worked when I picked up the car. any advice?

most likely the power feed wire to fues panel b has come apart from a connection where it sources its power. being an aftermarket modification we have no idea of how its wired into the car. i would be looking at the steering column area for wire splice that has a wire fallen out of it that should be going to the fuse panel. odds are that is where the problem is. the movement of the column replacement most likely weaken the splice or they re-spliced the wire inadequately and it fell apart from the driving vibrations.

that all depends on the wire sizes and loads on them. it should not be to hard to trace the power feed wire back to where its loosing power. sense its an aftermarket add on the wires should be loose along their routing vs taped up in the factory harness. just follow the power wire and check for power at each connection. you should find the point where wire lost its connection this way and be able to fix it.

I used to install the electrical systems for Altec Industries building bucket trucks and we used little connector buss bars on a lot of the panels but in your case you still might have broken frayed wires behind the fuse box just waiting for you to introduce power by way of a buss bar - it might be better to find out exactly why you don't have normal power from the back of the panel first :yup:

Update. I traced the wire back to the ignition plug in. I am just going to wait and call the shop Monday and see what he can do. The shop did tell me if I have any issues just give him a call
