$750. Body looks good, but this is a plain jane mav that will need a total overhaul and a lot of the basic parts swapped out.

Me too...Pretty much all I'm finding is over priced rusted cars being called solid.

I agree...I'm kinda in a hurry for another but willing to wait for a solid car at a decent price.

I will also take all you can find for $750.

I will buy ANY 2-door Maverick for $500. Non-running, rusted out junk. $500 is the going rate to buy a parts car.

Not a criticism....it is interesting to see what those of us in the rust belt are willing to pay compared to rust free regions.

For 2300, that blue car looks pretty good, doesn't really need a paint job, just a brake swap, and a motor swap, and you'd be on your way. If I would have bought a car that nice, I'd be a lot farther ahead than I am with my project car, but that's what I get for starting with a shell, pulled from a barn...

I hate to say it, but I think the other classic car buffs are rubbing off on you guys! Stay true to your cheapskate roots Maverick lovers! Let the Mustang guys drop $10k on a shell missing half the parts. One of the big advantages of restoring/restomoding Mavericks or Comets is that they are cheap! I've noticed a sizable jump in car and part prices lately and I don't like it ;).

You have to remember , we haven't had good rust free cars around here since the 80's, they are naturally worth more in some places. Restoring a Maverick is more expensive than a Mustnag, since you can't just order all the pieces out of a catalog, try to find a $60 brand new Maverick bumper. I don't mind if prices go up.

I don't like how the prices are going up, but prices are going up on everything, and realistically, the more scarce these cars get, the more you're gonna have to pay to get one. I also agree with the previous comment that parts are harder to come by than for Mustangs.

I'm from Colorado, where although cars do rust, it's nothing like "rust belt" states. I don't think I would pay more than $400 max for a parts-car, but that's just me.

But when "the scales" will pay $500....you have to match it. :Handshake
