Can be easily checked. I do my initial alignments by eye and they're pretty close. My tire (as posted in the other thread) is no where near that close...

Sounds like 1/2" lower than stock height..

That is an easy to understand graphic for sure lol.. Is there no chance that our holes are slightly different?

I didn't use those holes, because mine were not even.

I got measurements from 71gold from front and back of his frame rails, and then compared them to those holes, and they ended up coinciding.

I have just discovered that in the book it shows different measuring points or methods. The 73 is measured using the A minus C method. The 71-72 is measured from "floor to front wheel opening on centerline of front wheel".
71-72 2 door Maverick/Comet is 25 1/8"-26 7/8". 74 is different as is all others. The 75-77 is low rider height lol.. 19 7/8"-22 7/8". Down to the 1/8" on the measurements..

I can't see how you could use those holes, they differ on earlier cars....

This is all making me worried about the cradle that is already in my 72.. I just got off of the phone with them and he said the cradle (on mine) should be centered in the wheel well.. I am worried because the previous owner says the guy HE got the car from is his friend. And his friend took all the parts to use on another project.. I can't help but wonder if maybe there is another reason, like maybe it's all wrong :16suspect Obviously I will need to check it..

Looking at how your tire hits the front of the fender, it looks like you have negative caster in your spindle and not positive - positive would tilt the top of the spindle back pulling your tires away from the fender

That picture above is stock suspension, aligned to specs. Smaller tires.

The pics in first post are current tire and no alignment done. The top of the spindle is pushed forward, pushing the tire forward into the fender. You can see where the bolt has slipped and peeled off the paint in the first picture, and it has bottomed out toward the inside of the one hole. Originally, there was a 3/8" socket in that hole that I used on both sides to make the eyeball alignment similar on both sides. There is now no space, so the bolt has slid.

    This pic...

I see much clearer now from your photo, that the top A-frame slipped causing it to go negative :hmmm:

That is my plan, but I had a busy week at work, and then it got all rainy on me lately.

Will do it tomorrow. Just eyeball it back to where it was until my drop spindles come in next week. Then get it aligned professionally.

Moved it back to where I had it. It was originally almost centered in the slot.

Also hit all four nuts with the torque wrench and they all moved a little, so I guess I did not torque them down hard enough.
